Development

Development Drainage & Section 104, West Yorkshire

Drainage Design · SuDS · Section 104 Adoption

The requirement

Full foul and surface water drainage design for a residential development, including an adoptable sewer network and a SuDS strategy to discharge planning conditions.

The engineering challenge

Clay ground ruled out infiltration, and the receiving sewer capacity restricted the permissible discharge rate, requiring attenuation designed within a tight site layout.

The Paddick solution

A designed network with below-ground attenuation and flow control at the restricted rate, foul design to adoptable standards under Section 104, and the calculations and details taken through water company and flood authority review.

The outcome

Drainage conditions discharged and the network designed for adoption - infrastructure the developer can hand over, not a liability.
